Finished the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling TV series last night. What a great series. I almost don’t want to watch the next season, this was so good. So refreshing to have a really high quality and intelligent series that was also good hearted and funny. It’s set in the 1980s and is a fictionalised account of the actual GLOW, and I was amazed to learn how how accurate some of the most shocking things were, like the character called the Welfare Queen or the Indian girl who was immediately cast as Beirut the terrorist.
Another consequence of its setting was the fab music which I posted about previously.
I went for a haircut this afternoon. The consequence of not having a proper mirror, proper lighting or indeed the habit of looking at mirrors came back to bite me as I realised when I sat in the chair that my hair was actually looking quite nice as it was. Admittedly, this was because it hadn’t been washed in a couple of days so it had a textured look I would never think of using hair product to achieve. Anyhow, I have a new cut. The hairdresser is a trendy but blessedly silent man in a hat.
